Maine State CU’s Bruce Harrington to Receive Chamber Award

The League extends our congratulations to Maine State Credit Union’s Bruce Harrington. On April 25, Bruce will receive the Elias A. Joseph Award at the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards ceremony. The award recognizes his volunteerism, professional achievement, and devotion to his community.

Bruce has been serving on the Board for the Mid-Maine Chamber for over 10 years and is a past chairman. He also serves as a member at large on the executive board, is chairman of the Business to Business Showcase Committee and is active in the chamber’s Bass Fishing Subcommittee. In addition to these responsibilities and his work as Vice President at Maine State CU, Bruce lends his time and talent to several community organizations including the Kennebec Valley Community College, Waterville Rotary Club, Maine Rural Development Authority, Kennebec Behavioral Health, and the Fairfield Economic Development Committee.  You also can find Bruce teaching at Thomas College and Southern New Hampshire University.

The Elias A. Joseph Award is given annually to a person who has helped develop, coordinate, and supervise programs and projects that have enhanced the community and who has exhibited the exceptional initiative Joseph showed during his 28 years of service to the chamber. Bruce is a wonderful example of someone who executes the credit union’s People Helping People philosophy each and every day. Congrats, Bruce, on this special recognition!
