With the June 12th Primary fast-approaching, your League has announced its first endorsements of the 2018 election season. Your League has endorsed seven incumbents with strong credit union ties.
“Having credit union volunteers and/or individuals with close credit union ties in the Legislature is extremely helpful in our advocacy efforts. We felt it was important to make these endorsements ahead of the upcoming Primary because they all have such strong connections to credit unions, and we want to help their campaigns as much as possible,” explained Elise Baldacci, Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Maine Credit Union League.
The following candidates were endorsed by your League (in alphabetical order):
•Rep. Donna Bailey, former counsel for PeoplesChoice CU
•Rep. Dick Bradstreet, former Board Member and Chair at Winslow Community FCU
•Sen. Susan Deschambault, Board Member at PeoplesChoice CU
•Rep. Donna Doore, whose husband, Thomas, is Board Chair at Capital Area FCU
•Sen. Lisa Keim, whose husband, Blue, is on the Board at Oxford FCU
•Rep. Peter Lyford, Supervisory Committee Member at Brewer FCU
•Rep. Heather Sanborn, who is running for the Maine Senate, and is a former Board Member at University CU
