The Maine Credit Union League is pleased to welcome Jen Burke to the Corporate Marketing Team as the League’s new Communications & Outreach Manager. In this role, Jen will help coordinate League communications, statewide initiatives, and community outreach.

“I am thrilled that Jen will be joining our team,” said Tim Brooks, Vice President of Corporate Marketing. “Jen brings with her nearly twenty years of experience in public affairs and media outreach. I’m confident she will work hard to raise the visibility of Maine’s credit union network and showcase the tremendous work our League and our members do to support important community efforts, such as the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.”

Before joining the League in June as the Regulatory & Legislative Advocacy Coordinator, Burke managed her own government and public relations consulting firm – a position she held for over a decade. She has worked in both Augusta and Washington, DC, and brings a wide array of public affairs experience to her new role.

“The credit union philosophy of people helping people really symbolizes my own personal and professional values, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the League and Maine’s credit unions in this new capacity,” said Jen Burke. “I’m eager to begin my new charge and look forward to advancing the meaningful work of our network.”

In addition to her responsibilities at the League, Jen is a volunteer at her daughter, Hailey’s school, and is a member of the Saint James School Catholic Education Board. Jen also serves as a mentor to five students at Biddeford High School through the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute – a program that her former boss, the Honorable Olympia J. Snowe, began when she retired from the U.S. Senate.

“Jen’s skillset, drive, and commitment to community service makes her a perfect fit for this important position,” added Brooks. “I know Jen will be a great spokesperson for the League and am pleased she agreed to take on this new responsibility.”
