2018 Legislative Forum Event Recap

On Thursday, October 4, the League hosted its annual Legislative Forum at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport.

Political strategist and CNN commentator Paul Begala served as the event’s keynote speaker, entertaining the audience with stories about growing up in Texas, marrying a credit union member, and his journey to working in the White House.  He also addressed the divisiveness in American politics and his hopes for the future.

MECUL President/CEO Todd Mason interviewed League-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Shawn Moody.  Moody shared his credit union story, outlined how he would tackle Maine’s biggest challenges if elected Governor, and answered questions from the audience.
