New Spokester Lavoie Off To A Successful, Statewide Start
July 21, 2014
Since taking on the role of Young & Free Spokester, Mallory Lavoie has been busy on the road and online. She has already hit the ground running with her first official event, taking part in the parade at the Lisbon Moxie Festival on July 12. She has been introducing herself to Gen Yers throughout the state on the radio with several interviews, as well as on television with an appearance on Good Day Maine.
The Green Machine headed to the Annual Potato Blossom Festival in Fort Fairfield on July 19 and 20, where she participated in the Potato Blossom Parade and other activities. The next large-scale event for Young & Free Maine is the KahBang Music & Art Festival, which has been moved to Portland and takes place August 7-10, and will feature performances from Young & Free Sound-Off winner the Skastitutes and runner-up, the Roman Counterpart. Mallory will be there for it all, introducing these bands, as well as other musical acts. August 15 brings Mallory to Northern Maine once again, this time for the World Acadian Congress, of which Maine’s Credit Unions are a major sponsor.
“Maine has a lot going on in the summer, and we are looking forward to connecting with 18-25 year-olds at many of these events. Maine credit unions’ are a big part of Maine, as are these festivals and activities, so combining the two makes sense,” explained Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for the Maine CU League.
