Whether attending a Portland Sea Dogs game, the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, the Kahbang Festival in Bangor or WPOR's Annual Concert at the Beach in Old Orchard, look for Maine credit unions at each of these summer events and others. As part of the Maine Credit Union League's Statewide Awareness Campaign, Maine credit unions are committed to supporting community and regional events that are highly-visible, too, and the month of August has plenty to offer.
"Part of our goal is to help support these important community events and activities as well as to reinforce the strong community presence and commitment of credit unions," explained Debra Trautman, AVP of Corporate Marketing for the Maine Credit Union League.
In August, in addition to continuing to sponsor of the 7th Inning Stretch at every Portland Sea Dogs' home game, Maine credit unions will kick off the month by sponsoring the Information Booth at the 66th Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland. The Festival happens July 31-August 4. Next up, Maine credit unions will be on stage introducing musicians at the 5th Annual Kahbang Music Festival in Bangor (August 8-11). As part of the Festival, Young & Free Maine Spokester, Lauren Reeves, will be hosting backstage events and introducing Skosh, the winner of the Young & Free Maine Sound-Off who will perform at the Festival. On Sunday, August 25, Maine credit unions will have a strong presence atWPOR Radio's sold-out Concert at the Beach at Seaside Pavilion in Old Orchard Beach.
"Summer in Maine is about enjoying all that Maine has to offer, and it is great that Maine credit unions are able to be a part of some of the biggest summertime events in Maine," Trautman added.
