Monday, June 17, 2013

After spending part of its milestone Annual Meeting reflecting and honoring its past and heritage, the Maine Credit Union League concluded its 75th Annual Delegates' Meeting by unveiling a new logo that "puts the focus on the next 75 years."

John Murphy, President of the Maine Credit Union League, explained, "As a League and as a movement, the past 75 years have seen significant growth and achievements for our organization and Maine's credit unions.  While some of this year's Meeting was certainly focused on the past, we also spent time focusing on the future and the exciting opportunities and challenges awaiting the League and Maine's credit unions as we embark upon the next 75 years. Our new logo reflects the future for the League, and highlights an association built on progress and collaboration moving forward by continuing to work together on advocacy, awareness, service, convenience and technology."
In conjunction with the beginning of the next chapter for the League, a new logo with new colors for the Maine Credit Union League was introduced at the conclusion of the meeting.  According to the League, the new logo will appear on all materials immediately, as this transition plan has been underway for nearly a year.
The beginning of the League's next 75 years comes at a time when Maine credit union membership and assets are at all-time highs, with more than 30,000 new members added over the past five years.  "Our future as a League and the entire Maine Credit Union System is very bright, indeed, and unveiling a new logo updates our image and moves us forward towards a future of growth, strength and continued success."
