Familiar Face Announced As Next Young & Free Maine Spokester
May 27, 2015
Mallory Lavoie, the current Young & Free Maine Spokester, has been selected to continue in that position for the 2015/16 year. Her new term begins July 1st. Lavoie was selected after a search for the next Spokester determined that she was the best candidate to continue in that position for another year.
"Mallory has done a tremendous job connecting with the younger generation, and has represented Maine's credit unions well at over 80 events during the past year. The momentum and excitement that she has generated in the 11 months she has held that position made her a very appealing candidate to continue as the Young & Free Maine Spokester for another year. Her focus in the coming year will be on financial education, and being a support and resource for millenials regarding financial issues and other timely topics," explained Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for the Maine Credit Union League, which coordinates the position.
Trautman said that the popularity of the free4ME Account continues to soar, and membership among 18-25 year-olds is growing at a robust pace, as well. "We have some new features and changes coming to the Young & Free Maine program so stay tuned."
