Don't get tuned out! Voting for Sound-Off going on now
March 11, 2016
Voting for Sound-Off, powered by Maine's credit unions through the Young & Free Maine program, is underway. Once again, the Sound-Off music competition has attracted some outstanding entries. Voting is going on now through Thursday, March 17, at 3 p.m.
This year's contest separated the entries into two categories - soloists and groups, and the voting has begun. The top two vote-getters in each category will automatically move on to the finals where they will be joined by one wildcard entry from our judging panel.
Debra Trautman, VP of Corporate Marketing for the Maine CU League, said the competition has "reinforced that there is some great music happening in Maine, among young people. It's great to see the level of talent submitting entries and the two categories certainly encouraged a variety of entries this year."
The voting ends on Thursday, March 17, at 3 p.m., with the Top Three Finalists announced on Friday, March 18. Wednesday, March 2 to Thursday, March 17 at 3 p.m. All finalists will perform a live audition before a panel of judges on Thursday, March 31, at Gracie Theater at Husson College in Bangor, in the final battle to be the next Sound Off with Young & Free Maine winner. The winners will be announced immediately following the live auditions.
