Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is coming to Portland! The CU is seeking an experienced, high energy mortgage loan officer at their new branch at 883 Forest Avenue in Portland for an expected early summer opening. If the idea of working full time with great benefits is appealing, Maine Savings wants to hear from you. The CU anticipates filling this position not later than April 1st.
The ideal candidate will be strong team player and offer superior service to the CU's members. The CU is looking for a candidate who is positive, upbeat, and presents a neat, professional appearance. Prior experience as a full service mortgage loan officer working with realtors, builders, and other intermediaries who can refer mortgage applicants is preferred. You will sell the CU's full portfolio of mortgage products to consumers who are buying or refinancing homes. This process involves both face-to-face meetings and telephone selling, working closely with their operations staff to ensure that the loan applications are fully completed, that the necessary supporting documentation is received, and that the loans close as scheduled. The position requires that you understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc.
A bright, cheerful personality is critical to this position and previous customer service experience is a plus.
