June 19, 2007  The Maine Credit Union League and its service-subsidiary, Synergent, are pleased to announce the recent hiring of Diana McElwain for the position of Communications and Marketing Specialist.
McElwain began her new position at the League on Monday, May 21. Originally from Caribou, she holds an M.A. in Communications, and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maine at Orono.
"I am very excited to be working for the Maine Credit Union League," McElwain said. "I am honored to be a part of the organization and to Maine's credit unions and the 600,000 credit union members."
As the Communications and Marketing Specialist, McElwain will be assisting in the organization and coordination of the Maine Credit Union League's numerous social responsibility projects. These projects include the Maine CUs' ongoing Campaign for Ending Hunger, and annual benefit events such as the Swish-Out Childhood Cancer Challenge.
"I look forward to assisting with the many worthy causes and activities credit unions are involved in, as well as helping support credit unions and their members," McElwain said
