June 25, 2007 New chair, Phil Moreau, presents a plaque to outgoing chair, Ralph Ferland. At the Maine Credit Union League's Delegates' Meeting, held recently in Augusta, two long-time members of the League's board of directors were recognized for their many years of service, involvement and contributions to the Maine Credit Union League and Maine's credit unions.
Ralph Ferland was also recognized for his nine years of service on the boards, the past three as chair. Ferland, President/CEO of EMMC FCU in Bangor, was honored for his "outstanding leadership as board chair which helped grow and strengthen the League and Maine's credit unions."
A. Bosica leaves the board after serving as a director for fourteen years including the past ten as Treasurer. Bosica resigned from the League's board, effective at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, as a result of Knox County FCU's merger with Five County this past February. Bosica was the President/CEO of Knox County FCU, and is now the branch manager of the Rockland office of Five County CU. Bosica was praised as "a wonderful individual whose service and contributions to the board and to Maine's credit unions are deeply appreciated."
John Murphy, President/CEO of the Maine Credit Union League, thanked both individuals for their service and commitment to Maine's credit unions. "Both A. and Ralph's contributions will continue to help Maine's credit unions and the League remain solid and successful and beneficial to Maine consumers."
