First Maine CU Night With Sea Dogs Really Clicks

July 6, 2007

On Monday, July 2, all fans attending the Portland Sea Dogs game received a free 2007 Team Photo, courtesy of Maine's credit unions. More than 7,000 Portland Sea Dog fans received a photo. In addition, nearly $1,000 was raised for the Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger through discount ticket sales and an E-auction for a Sea Dogs Skybox.

The Sea Dogs and Maine credit unions continue to solidify their strong relationships and, in 2007, that relationship not only includes two Maine Credit Union events at Hadlock Field but also the sponsorship of the Seventh Inning Stretch at every Sea Dogs home game by Maine credit unions this season.

"The Sea Dogs are a great asset to the local community, much like credit unions. Our partnership is one that is appreciated by both organizations and we look forward to maintaining our relationship for years to come," explained Jon Paradise, Governmental & Public Affairs Manager for the Maine Credit Union League.

The second Maine CU Day with the Sea Dogs is Sunday, August 12th, at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are offered through participating Maine credit unions for only $4 each (a savings of $2 per ticket).
