April 3, 2008 Maine credit unions, already ranked number one in service by consumers, are giving new meaning to providing on demand service to Maine consumers. The Maine Credit Union League recently partnered with Time Warner Cable of Maine to produce a new video that provides valuable information to consumers and other interested parties about Maine credit unions. The video is now part of the cable giant's On Demand features and can be accessed by viewers at no charge. The video, which is just over three minutes in length, details the uniqueness of as well as the benefits of credit unions. "There is a lot of information that consumers can use on this video to help better understand the significant savings that using a credit union can provide. From better rates on loans to fewer and lower fees, Maine credit unions offer significant benefits to the 600,000 Maine consumers who use them and we hope that the information on this video will encourage more consumers to use a credit union," explained Jon Paradise of the Maine Credit Union League.
Paradise said that the video is accessible to any Time Warner Digital Cable subscriber across Maine, adding, "We are excited at the opportunity to raise awareness and understanding on the credit union difference to a new audience through this partnership." Time Warner Cable's coverage area includes nearly the entire state.
Since it was first introduced as part of the EXPO TV and Your Neighborhood Expert packages earlier this year, the video has already attracted a number of viewings. "We will update this video approximately twice a year to update information to include new credit union locations, as well as products and services that credit unions introduce," Paradise concluded.
