Play Ball!  Maine CUs are again big part of Sea Dogs games

May 5, 2017

The 2017 Portland Sea Dogs season is underway, with the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox off to a strong start. This season, the phrase C-U at the Ballpark has taken on a whole new meaning. For fans visiting Hadlock Field this season, they will notice a strong credit union presence including the continued sponsorship of Maine's credit unions of the popular 7th Inning Stretch.

In addition to the Maine Credit Unions' statewide sponsorship of the Seventh Inning Stretch, other CUs have partnerships with the Sea Dogs including cPort CU; PeoplesChoice CU; Atlantic FCU; Cumberland County FCU; and Town & Country FCU.  "We appreciate the support of credit unions of the Sea Dogs at not only our games but with tickets and other community activities," remarked Geoff Iacuessa, EVP and General Manager of the Sea Dogs.

Debra Trautman, Vice President of Corporate Marketing for the Maine Credit Union League, said the opportunity to support Maine's only "minor league baseball team, one that has such a strong connection to the Red Sox, too, is a win-win for everyone.  The Sea Dogs draw people from across Maine so we are reinforcing Maine's credit unions at every home game to a statewide audience."
