Real Solutions Program

Real Solutions

The Maine Credit Union League is proud to be a participating League in the Real Solutions Program.  Developed and coordinated by the National Credit Union Foundation, the "REAL" in REAL Solutions stands for "Relevant, Effective, Asset-building, Loyalty-producing." The program's field coaches work with state credit union leagues to help credit unions offer services that have proven successful for people of modest means and "low wealth."

Credit Unions participating in REAL Solutions are following the 6th Cooperative Principle: Cooperation Among Cooperatives." Every time a credit union or league partipates in REAL Solutions, new innovations become available. You can adopt best practices from others and add your own. These latest innovations services can be found in: Transaction Services, Savings, Credit, and Homeownership.

About Real Solutions in Maine
The first-ever Real Solutions project in Maine began on May 13, 2010, and ended with a final webinar on August 11, 2011.  The year-long project was aimed at Attracting and Serving Young Adults.  Participation in the Real Solutions project is optional and is at no charge, thanks to a grant provided to the Maine CU League by the National Credit Union Foundation.  Read more about the grant.  To find out more information about Real Solutions, please contact Jon Paradise at the Maine Credit Union League.
