Maine Credit Union Human Resources Council
The Maine Credit Union Human Resources Council has been established to provide opportunities for members to network, exchange ideas and conduct educational seminars on topics of interest to Maine credit union HR professionals. The Council will promote the use of sound and ethical practices in the HR and Training & Development professions while encouraging greater cooperation among Maine credit unions. The League invites you to become a member of the HR Council and get involved in the informative programs offered specifically for Human Resources professionals.
Who may join the HR Council? All credit union employees who have a responsibility in their credit union related to Human Resources and/or Training & Development may participate in Council activities.
How do we join the HR Council? Each credit union will complete a dues form for each calendar year. Click here for the 2012 Dues Form.
Is there a fee to join the Council? Yes. The 2012 dues have been set at $100.00 per credit union. The dues will be evaluated and determined on an annual basis by the Steering Committee.
How is the dues money used? The money collected from dues will be pooled together to pay national and regional speakers and associated travel fees for the year's educational workshops. A small fee will be charged to each person attending a workshop to cover food and venue expenses. Each credit union may send as many employees as they wish to each workshop.
How do we find out about HR Council workshops? As a member of the Council, you will receive detailed information about all upcoming programs. On an annual basis, the HR Council will plan at least 2 programs addressing current HR topics.
Who do we contact with questions about the HR Council? You may contact Cheryl Lancaster or Linda Scott in Member Services at the Maine Credit Union League, or Rob Carmichael, Steering Committee Chair at Maine Savings FCU.
