Statewide Awareness 2012 -2013 Statewide Awareness Campaign There’s more for your credit union!
More targeted. More diverse. More reach.
Thanks to Maine’s Credit Unions, the Statewide Awareness Campaign is riding the credit union wave backed with your support. With all the positive publicity in 2011 for credit unions, your Statewide Committee hits the airwaves throughout 2012 with a multi-channeled marketing program, including a second year of Young & Free Maine. We have: - Diverse, targeted television buy with key messages about savings, lending, technology, shared branching, ATMs, visibility and security/strength. (Our campaign was recognized as one of the top statewide campaigns produced by a League at the Pro & Blockbuster awards in 2011!)
- Sponsorships at highly trafficked sports events and summer festivals throughout the state
- Online web advertising and search engine optimization
- Micro site, blog and social media for tracking and measurement
- Young & Free Maine Program with special winter contest; spokester search, vote and unveil; product advertising online and on television and radio; college and public event attendance; and website, Facebook and Twitter posts
- Credit Union Week special sections in every major daily newspaper
- Cooperatively-funded radio advertising for SURF and Shared Branching
Also happening in 2012: - Demographic research on Maine consumers – to help the campaign better position targeted messages to targeted audiences. We will be working with Kenneth Gronback, national demographer and speaker, to develop data for future media buys
- New theme and television production for 2013 – With consumer and credit union research, the League’s Multi-Media Team will produce new spots. The Statewide Awareness Committee will continue to provide input and feedback with key messages for the campaign
“With Maine Credit Unions’ continued support, we reach Maine consumers statewide with a top-notched produced television campaign and a media mix that allows us to rotate messages with changes in the marketplace and position credit unions for top-of-mind awareness.” – Gail Richardson President/CEO of Midcoast FCU Statewide Awareness Committee Chair Click here to view the campaign's televison spots!
