History Of The Tournament What began with 7 teams raising $575 for children with cancer and their families back in 1994, has now grown to regularly sell-out with a field of approximately 40 teams, depending on the year. To date, the event has now raised close to $230,000 for children with cancer and their families.
Organizing a team From co-workers, family members, neighbors, friends, teams are very diverse. There is no maximum size limit on the number of players on one team but at least one member of the opposite sex must be on the court at all times. All players must be 17 years of age or older to participate in the Swish-Out. This is a 3-on-3, co-ed, double elimination event with a focus on FUN! For the Junior Swish-Out, same criteria as the adult tournament except the requirement is that participation is limited to 12 teams of children ages 11-14 (grades 6-8).
