Maine Credit Unions Announce Statewide Fundraising Initiative To Raise Funds for Tornado Victims in Oklahoma
The Maine Credit Union League, in conjunction with the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF), has activated a safe and secure web site to raise money for the thousands of credit union employees, volunteers and members, as well as the general public, that have been affected by the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma.
Maine’s Credit Unions Highlight Hunger Among Seniors During National Older Awareness Month
On Thursday, May 16, the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger, which has raised and contributed more than $4.8 million to help end hunger in Maine since 1990 including a record-setting $471,000 in 2012, distributed some of those funds in the form of five checks for $300 each to the Agencies on Aging Meals on Wheels' programs in Maine in recognition of National Older Americans Month in Maine.
Changing Of The Guard: Maine CUs Appoint New CEOs
To replace retiring leaders, five credit unions across Maine have recently appointed new Presidents/CEOs.  Each of the new CEOs have lengthy credit union experience, and will all be in their new positions by July 1st.
