Summer in Maine is all about having fun, and Maine credit unions are where the fun is!  From the Moxie Festival to the Potato Blossom Festival to the Maine Lobster Festival, Maine's credit unions are proud to support some of the events that make Maine special.  Enjoy it all and remember that you can access a Maine credit union nearly everywhere you go in Maine this summer!


Another record to help end hunger in Maine!

Best-selling author and the likely subject of Clint Eastwood's next movie, Jessica Buchanan, a humanitarian aid worker, helped Maine CUs announce a new fundraising record for the 2016 Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger.  The 2016 Campaign raised nearly $675,000 to help end hunger in Maine.


Not too early for 2017/18 school year!

The 2016/17 school year saw a record number of Financial Fitness - Money Management Experience events take place at high schools across Maine.  Have Maine credit unions bring this award-winning program to your school.  In-person or online - the choice is yours.  Since 2004, more than 38,000 Maine students have participated in one of these fairs.  To learn more, click here.

"Hunger does not take a summer vacation," Maine's credit unions emphasize in making significant contribution to alleviate summertime hunger

In an effort to raise awareness and, more importantly, provide financial assistance to food pantries struggling to keep food on their shelves during the summer season, the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger distributed over $20,000 recently. Food pantries in every Maine county received a portion of the funds.

Membership, deposits stand out in strong start to 2017 for Maine CUs

According to first quarter statistics released the Maine Credit Union League, 2017 is off to a solid start for Maine's credit unions, with membership and deposits leading the way.

Nearly 8,000 students participated in a Maine CU Financial Fitness Fair during 2016/17 school year - a new record!

Summer vacation may be underway but, thanks to Maine's credit unions, more Maine students than ever ended the 2016/17 school year with personal finance experience. In just announced numbers, the Maine Credit Union League found that a total of 7,617 students participated in one of the nearly 50 Financial Fitness - Money Management Experience events held during the past school year.
