World Acadian Congress 2014 License PlateYes!  Oui!  You can still have the World Acadian Congress license plates on your car (legally) for another year and a half (until December 31, 2015).  If you haven't gotten one yet, stop by most credit unions, or get your commemorative World Acadian Congress (WAC) 2014 License plates right here!  Special legislation permits putting it on as your front license plate through December 2015.

The Shared Branch Network from Maine's credit unions, which already boasts nearly three times as many branches as any, single bank in Maine, has gotten even bigger with the recent addition of Ocean Communities FCU to the network.

Auto Lending Much More ‘Personal’ At Maine Credit Unions

According to a recent article in The New York Times, roughly one in four new auto loans last year went to borrowers with credit scores at or below 640. While the vast majority of banks rely on dealers, most Maine credit unions consider personal relationships, payment history and other attributes rather than solely relying on credit scores to determine rates and loans.

Contributions Help Maine Food Pantries Address Summertime Hunger, Food Shortages

Recently, the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, which has raised $5.3 million since 1990 including a record-setting $513,000 in 2013, distributed $17,000 of those funds to 33 hunger organizations throughout the state.
